Welcome and thank you for visiting my site! I
am L.D. Lard, who some may know as
Mookie or LaVar. I moved to Chicago after
receiving my B.A. in Communication Studies
from the University of Iowa. For years I have
read and written numerous short stories and
poems, but never published them. In the past
three years I've realized that I had qualities and
abilities that surpassed what I did in the office. I
soon became a man driven to perfect my own life
and do what made him happy. I've learned that
there is nothing more fulfilling than to look back
and realize that I've left no stone unturned and
no cheek unblushed. I can't help but to
appreciate that I can create pieces of art that
people can relate to. I hope that you all can get
to know me through my art.
